October 12th

Harviestoun Bitter & TwistedIt’s hard to complain about a day that involves lots of reading, eating leftovers and the third season of The Wire. The only blemish was taking out the garbage and green bin. Regardless, I still felt deserving of a beer. The fridge stock is getting low, but I managed to find a Harviestoun Bitter & Twisted, a beer with the main selling point of tasting a bit like lemon (but without actually using any flavouring and existing pre-Bud Light Lime). It was paler than I thought (as evidence, you can see the coffee maker through the beer), but was still delightfully hoppy. There was some lemon, but I was more pleased with the peppery finish. Nothing too overpowering, just a nice session beer. I’ll definitely be buying some of these next summer.

  1. Hey, I wanted to try this….

    • 1) It’s a general list item, meaning it won’t be disappearing off the shelves anytime soon.
      2) We will be buying more of this. Maybe in the summer, but still…
