I was craving a night in and we got the ball rolling with a nice dinner: corn flake encrusted tofu, with the wet element being a combo of mustard and Unibroue Maudite. It obviously only used a small portion of the Maudite, so I got to drink the rest. The food and drink were both super tasty.
Then it was some more Quebec beer, with a Dieu du Ciel Corne du Diable. After trying a fair amount of IPAs recently, including great brews like the Dogfish Head 60 Minute, I had tempered expectations. But this beer is great – possibly right up there with the best I’ve had. It was big and hoppy, very bitter and all around wonderful. I stupidly only bought two, a mistake that I must rectify.
