Okay, so maybe I lied about slower content this week. Tuesday night was spent nestled up to a St. Peter’s Cream Stout. It poured with a tiny brown head, that quickly disappeared without a trace. The aroma was heavy on dark chocolate. There was a sweet chocolate taste with a good amount of hops to counteract the sugars. The mouthfeel was a little thin for my liking, which kept this from being a very memorable drink. Or maybe drinking so much Péché Mortel has made it hard for other stouts to compete.
