March 9th

The weather has been absolutely beautiful in Toronto for the past five or six days and I took full advantage of it on Wednesday, reading a book on my porch and enjoying a Mill Street Coffee Porter. As Nick Pashley wrote in either Cheers! or Notes on a Beermat, the patio season is short in Toronto and the die-hards will wring out every last ounce of sunshine (and beer!). The intense coffee and roasted malt flavours really matched the warm sun and cool breeze. I will miss drinking the strong beers that are favoured during the cold months, but am quite excited to be drinking outside again.
