Mmm, some Belgian ale brought from Brussels especially for me. The De la Senne Zinnebir is exactly what one expects from a well-made beer from Belgium. Hazy, bright orange colour, indicative of a beer with a lot of yeast in it. Aroma of coriander, citrus zest and spices. There beer starts with an initial hit of orange peel and coriander, but quickly gives way to woodsy herbs and a dry finish. The yeast was prevalent throughout, making the beer taste like a German hefe made with Belgian yeast. Medium bodied with a lot of carbonation. What a surprise – another great Belgian beer.
