Ontario Craft Bloggers

Welcome to Ontario Craft Beer Week, year two! Poor planning/concert timing has left me short on availability during the first part of the week (crossing Elvis Costello off my bucket list), so this blog will be the wrong place to get caught up with all the daily happenings and recaps. But luckily there is a strong and ever-growing group of bloggers in Ontario that are likely going to fill the void. A large number of blogs started up in the spring of last year, which was a good indication of the growing support for craft beer. I have updated my blog list on the right – some blogs were cut, some had changed URLs and new ones were added:

For some reason most of the beer bloggers in Ontario seem to come from Toronto – clearly the rest of the province needs to rise to the challenge and tell the rest of us about the craft beer scene in Ottawa, London, Guelph and beyond. But if you’re looking for timely information on OCB Week, check out those blogs and follow them on Twitter. My copy cat posts will be up next week.

On a final note, make sure to check out the revamped Beer, Booze & Bites by Greg Clow (formerly Beer, Beats & Bites). Since deciding to end TasteTO, Greg has now been able to spend more of his time writing about beer, which is a real benefit to beer drinkers (though I am sad that it was made possible by TasteTO closing).

  1. Thanks for the shout-out & kind words, Mike. I still haven’t gotten the frequency of posts on BBB up quite as high as I’d like, but I’m working on it. Once the redesign/relaunch of TasteTO as an event listingssite is done I should have more time to devote to it.
