LCBO 2012 Spring Beer Release

The list of the 2012 Spring Release of specialty beers was shown at the LCBO media tasting for the Garrison brewery feature and quickly hit Twitter soon after. In case you don’t follow my more technologically enhanced compatriots, here is the release:

209346 / Tree Hop Head Double IPA / 650 / 8.3 / $5.35 (RB)

Um, wow?! This is a damn fine release with lots of beers for everyone. Some hoppy IPAs, loads of bocks, a couple of Belgian styles and a sour! Perhaps some people may gripe about the cost of some beers (three are over $10, two just below), but the beers are not priced higher than anywhere else (plus you save on travel). These releases often have a high quotient of returning beers, but this list keeps it to a minimum, especially considering a lot of people probably missed out on the Panil and Norrebro. These beers should be hitting shelves by the end of February, so expect a full review before then.
