About

It started with a simple question: how much beer do I drink in a year? That question has now been answered (159.39L, which is more calories than I want to know), but still this blog perseveres. I am an amateur craft beer enthusiast who writes simply out of love and a lack of other hobbies that take up a substantial amount of my time (unless you consider being a connoisseur of 30 Rock a hobby). Living in Toronto, my beer goggles are focused on the changing Ontario beer scene and why we should all be drinking suds with flavour.

Have any beer news? Want to send a long rant about beer? Got some beer you want to send my way? Contact me at ayearofbeer.mike@gmail.com.

Great Blog! Keep up the tastings. Perhaps one day you’ll even make the stuff. Meanwhile, keep digging into Belgian beers and small-brewery California beers. Cheers – S
